| no partners | | I'm in the "something is better than nothing" mode with these higher temperatures and humdity . But I did manage to get up early to Echo's (Alexa's sister) weather report of 76 and 50% humidity.
I parked below the TH and headed uphill to hike clockwise. Legs were gonna struggle today; sometimes they do that. Fortunately I finished strong. There was a slight breeze as I rounded the east side and then some shade on the trail where it tucks in closer to the mountain. Quite a few people and dogs out this morning. West side had some shade and a hefty breeze which I so appreciate. I finished it off by doing the little hill back to the main TH and then down the hill to Tonto.
Saw a rabbit, many birds and a lizard. Saguaros all had some blooms and the creosote had its mixture of flowers and cotton ball blooms.

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
