My sister drove up from Tucson to do a hike with me at the River Preserve in honor of Cathy (MrsLosDos).
This was an annual birthday hike we used to do followed by a meal at In-N-Out Burger afterward.

The preserve was as dry as I've ever seen it but the Cottonwoods were getting all the water they needed and were quite lush. The trail around Palm Lake was closed until December as they are remodeling it to make it ADA compliant.

No birds to mention with the exception of a raucous Gila Woodpecker and one lone Verdin. Michele had a run in with three cows and I had a stare down with a skunk in the middle of the trail.
