| no partners | | time to practice hiking. 16th St hill neighborhood really has some great flora including fabulous trees. Hiked my bottom western loop and then back across the TH (parking newly paved) and around the east end to Lookout Park. Decided to check out the purple flora in the grassy area of the park. Saw two policeman, obviously looking for somebody. Grabbed some photos and headed back up toward the mountain. Returned via the 16th St Hill. Noticed an old blocked (big boulders) trail that used to go next to the houses (above).

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
