I had the morning free so I attempted to make it to Dripping Springs and back by 9:30am. I was a mile short when I realized I had to turn back. I just wanted to get out in the Supes and see if any Gila Monsters would wander out but no luck. I saw a deer in the distance, a rabbit and some campers near Reeds Water. I had the trail to myself until the return leg on the Dutchman Trail. The early morning was cool and quiet.
