| no partners | | Always wanted to do Flatiron and my brother has interest in it so we planned on doing it. Trail is kinda easy in the beginning but gets more difficult as you reach a more rocky area. Indeed as people have said the trail is not easy to follow! Blue painted dots try to keep you on the trail but those are few and far between.
The bowl type area where the water has eroded it to a smooth surface is an awesome area to movie around but after that area we got confused to walked on the wrong trail after seeing a blue painted dot. We now spent the next 2 or so hours hiking the wrong way and trying to get back on the trail before sundown. Oh well, the next time we know what to do. Still a very fun trail to do, hard sometimes with a big camera with you! I decided to not bring a tripod again and luckily I didn't as it would have very difficult doing some points of the trail. |
