I retired for the third time. Hopefully the last time.

I haven't hiked 10+ miles in a long time. I wasn't sure if I could, so I decided to keep it close to home.

I started at the Meridian TH at 9am, taking the spur over to the Pass Mountain Loop trail, which I took clockwise. Took a detour up to the Wind Cave before continuing along on the loop.

I was ready for the car when I reached the pass with about two miles to go. Took a break at the pass, had a snack and some water before finishing the hike.

The temps were cool enough (mostly) for an all-day hike. An intermittent breeze kept me cool when I needed it most. A few cool looking clouds kept it interesting. Getting brown and dry out there.
