Took a short hike (long walk?) Saturday morning while camping in the area. HBT is one of my favorites, and it didn't disappoint this time either. All the springs had nice water flow, and there was water flowing the entire length of Houston Draw. The meadows were bright with fresh spring grasses and yellow dandelions. A nice way to spend a couple of hours of a camping weekend. (We also did about two miles on Friday night under a full moon. No headlamps required. The trail is in such good shape that footing wasn't a problem even in the darkest shadows).
