We hit the trail right at 7:30 AM and made great time down, right at 3 hours. We saw 3 deer on the way down and also found a camera that someone had dropped. We picked it up and ran into the backpackers who lost it as they were heading out after spending the night at the falls. Getting back to the falls was easier thatn I expected. Clearly marked and a lot of out-of-creek trails available to hike on. The falls were fantastic!! Spent 45 minutes taking pictures and eating lunch then headed back. My son blazed up the trail which was good as that helped me keep a good pace (although I was sucking wind most of the time up). Reached the TH at 2:27 PM so about 3 hours and 12 minutes on the return.
