Plan was to hike up the Ladybug trail from Angle Orchard to the Veach Ridge overlook. Only got a little under a mile up before a monsoon storm forced me back down. On the way back, I jumped on the more sheltered Adams Flat trail and took it up to the flat/falls overlook and then back down to the orchard. The falls were flowing better than expected for such a dry season and it convinced me to make a stop on the drive back down and hike up Jacobson Canyon just a couple miles down stream. Arriving at John's dam I was surprised to see that the creek was dry here for at least the first 1/2 mile up the canyon. I'm guessing Angle Orchard is using all the creek water right now to grow those delicious apples & peaches!
