3 showed up for tonight's chase at our usual meet up point, Roper Lake SP. We checked the radar and felt that if we just stayed put tonight, there were 2 storm cells that looked like they could come right over the park. As we waited for the storms to arrive, we were treated to an awesome sunset that illuminated light rain in front of Mt Graham and then spent the next hour black-lightning scorpions and interacting with a couple of the resident raccoons before the lightning started hitting all around the lake. We drove all around the park getting some excellent pics for over 2 hours before calling it a night as the lightning slowly died out turning into a steady rain. Fun, fun night!!!
