The suspension bridge there was enticing so went across and travelled a short distance along a single track road with surrounding fields and forest, hesitant to go far because felt it was private land rather than the Bullpasture Mountain portion of the Highland Wildlife Management area which is apparently a mile or two up river on the Bullpasture River. My wife meanwhile hung out on the suspension bridge admiring the nice sized trout. While there a small deer came toward her and she noticed a fox trailing close behind. When our dog spotted the deer it began to bark at it , golden doodles aren’t renowned for hunting prowess, the deer began to run toward her and then jump in the river ,meanwhile the fox exited into the thick underbrush, my wife shot a decent video of the action. Hope to go back and locate some other bridges that cross the river nearby and hope to see better leaf changing in a couple of weeks. |
