Rain gauge at home was measuring 2.3 inches this am and still raining a bit but felt like getting out. Enjoyed walking in the rain today, decided to avoid the soaked forest roads and went to the nearby Hieroglyphic trailhead. Nice views of cloud topped peaks and water streaming off the south face of Superstition Mountain. After the bighorn sheep report in Peralta canyon from 2 days ago decided to carry my binoculars so of course no wildlife spotted today. Water flow at the first set of pools was present though less than anticipated didn’t venture further up canyon today, Another plus the rain kept the crowds away only 8 others on the trail today.
