| no partners | | Did not intend to hike another county park today since I just did San Tan last week, but had early business in Mesa today so this was the closest option. Drove by 2 schools on the way to the trailhead and no school zone flashing lights, uh oh, sure enough it’s spring break this week. The spring break crowd was concentrated in the vicinity of the Wind Cave trailhead so it wasn’t noticeable from the Meridian , winter visitor, parking. Wildflowers were a bit more prevalent than last month though still not abundant, hopefully this weeks predicted rain will extend the season. Ground squirrels and lizards were wildlife of the day, a bee swarm was avoided near the junction leading to the equine populated pass mountain trailhead. Still prefer to take Blevins and Meridian to return to the meridian trailhead, I don’t mind the road walk at the end. |
