tried to find an old homestead cabin, but it had been so long I took wrong trail at an intersection which worked because it turned the hike into a nice forestry loop back to the road. Hike up another branch and recharged at a large slick rock falls I had never seen. Over took a couple on the way up Esther. Saw numerous drivers at Crowe Gulch. Got stopped by the Pikes Peak Nazi’s while walking from FR334 back to Crowe Gulch because of the no hiking on PP Toll road. We were however beyond the toll road easement so I think he was fine because of that and probably because he didn’t want to give the dirty already hiked 7 mile PB&j on the 5 year olds face possible covid infected hikers the Mandatory ride back to the entrance. As any good father in this case I had previously instructed my Little sasquatches to run into the forest if something came up. Haha! There really isn’t any legal parking by the forest road so I think they are more lenient in that area. Anyway it sprinkled a little on the way down Esther and we ran into one more set of people at the bottom. Nice Hike explorin’ the neighborhood with the kids.
