The first flash of winter across the Arizona high country ended up being a little bit disappointing as far as what happened based on what was forecast, but alas, I made a great day of it anyway. There's nothing quite like the peaceful serenity of fresh falling snow. The warm fall thusfar made it so that lake hadn't even begun to freeze over yet, but the circumference trail was more than adequate for a few miles of winter escape. It's my first November snowshoe in Arizona, and while I don't have high expectations for this winter, it was a great early-season start!
