We've hiked this trail several times and when we get back, we're always amazed in comes in under 6 miles as it feels longer. Decent elevation gain but so I'm not sure what it is about this trail but it always leaves me feeling more worn out than I think should be given the mileage. Comet Falls was beautiful with the sun hitting it and its spray felt wonderful. Great views at Van Trump Park as well which was our lunch/turnaround spot. Thought about heading over to Mildred Point but we were already feeling it so called it a day and headed back. Saw some grouse real close as well as one pika today. Berries are out and are delicious! |
