| no partners | | | Even though the weather wasn't perfect we headed out for a day on the trail. Since we knew we probably wouldn't get views today, we opted for a forest hike from Longmire over to Carter and Madcap Falls and then onto Narada Falls. Clocked in just over 9 miles. We hit some rain outside the park on our drive in but except for some misting when we crossed the river on the way to the falls, we had a dry day on the trails. For a Mt. Rainier hike, trail didn't feel too crowded even though we saw a good number of folks out hiking today. Spotted a woodpecker and some squirrels but that was it for wildlife today. Still, a day on the trail beats sitting at home or in the office! |
