This hike had been on my wish list for ages. It was more challenging than I expected, but the view from the top was so worth it. I will do this one again now that I know what to expect, and next time I should be able to avoid some of the tricky spots I found myself in. There were lots of people on the trail. Had to wait for the crowd to clear out a bit to get to the bench and mailbox.

There was some water flowing down the mountain. I guess left over from the December rain. I was surprised to see that there were puddles even on the plateau at the top, and the trail was wet and muddy.

It was chilly in the morning, and we were in the shade almost to the top. Once in the sun it was nice and warm. A great day for a great hike!
