| no partners | | | This track is the standard walk/bike-way for views of the Fox Glacier. There's a steady presence of tourist on route, but it's an old, now closed road, so it didn't ever seem crowded. The day's fog had lifted some by this time, so the blue glacier tinge and black crevasse lines were discernable, but this also allowed several annoyingly loud helicopters to restart flyovers. The Fox River channel and accompanying outwash plains were more striking to us, than the mostly braided Waiho River. There were less people hiking the Moraine Walk on our descent, which we added as a worthy side trip. |
