The larger waves became challenging on the mad mile section before turning southwest around Pitt Head into The Anchorage. It would be neat to return and complete a multi-day trip spending a few nights on the various beach camps. Optimally cloudy when we were on the water and then sunny once we beached. The Abel Tasman Coast Track was shady in many of the forested sections and was a great mellow return hike to Mārahau. Scrumptious fish and chips afterwards at the winsome Motueka Fishing Wharf. |
