| no partners | | | Short on time today we opted for this close to home hike. This trail is known for its muddy sections but not at this time of the year. Trail was pretty much bone-dry for the entirety. We skipped lower falls but visited middle and upper falls. Continued up past upper falls and took the logging roads back for a lasso loop that came out at around 7.5 miles. Middle falls were nice although a lot less water than our last trip in June. Creek near upper falls was low enough to use stepping stones to cross and get right up to the base. A fair amount of people on the trail today and I imagine the afternoon will be even more crowded as the parking lot was full when we left just before noon. Berries are out. |
