Road was rough in places but overall not too bad. Wildflowers are probably past their peak but still plentiful. Burned out sections are full of flowers and give you good views of the mountain. Saw a few people out on the trail including a couple of forest service employees doing trail maintenance (thanks!). Also ran into one hunter doing some scouting for deer season which opens up the first week in October. Apparently bear season has already started so be aware that you could encounter hunters in this area. Views from the top were great. No bugs and temps weren't bad either. |
